- The true DNS gurus do very little to share their knowledge.
- Are there any truly legible blogs on DNS, and most notably BIND?

Blogs, no. But “Ask Mr. DNS” is a brilliant site. The same guy also did the O’Reilly “Bind & DNS cookbook” which is also a great one to have.
