Upgrades that Suck: Yahoo TV

Looks like Yahoo TV upgraded overnight.

Guess I will get my TV schedule information from other sources now.

DHTML/AJAX Schedule is slow and confusing.

Front page looks like a Flash designer got lucky — Look at all the dancing images!

Complex, complicated, and visually disturbing.

Oh, and no option to downgrade to the original, functional version.

All I want is the TV listings.

How hard is that?

  1. THANK GOD THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THE **OVERNIGHT** UP?GRADE OF YAHOO TV LISTINGS SUCKS!!!
WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING????
I’VE BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH OUR SERVICE PROVIDER FOR OVER AN HOUR, AND THEY DON’T HAVE ANY ANSWERS.
I VISITED YAHOO TV LISTINGS AT LEAST 4 TIMES A DAY, ON AVERAGE, DEPENDENT ON HOW THEY MADE IT EASY TO FIND ADVANCED SHOW TIMES ON EVERYTHING…AND THEY HAVE TAKEN THAT AWAY?!
    WTF?!
HOW CAN WE GET THEM TO GIVE US BACK THE ORIGINAL WEB PAGES?
Teresa – who is REALLY pissed off right now, if you cannot tell

  3. I also used the Yahoo TV listings quite a bit.
You can’t click on a specific channel anymore and see the channels entire listings anymore.
It takes forever for the Javascript to rebuild and then again if you move to another hour.
The frosting on the cake is that there is no feedback form.
It’s just blows my mind how some of the REALLY sharp folks over there at Yahoo can seriously think this is a better experience for the user.
