I have had one of those days that make action-oriented people mad with insanity. I had my trip to the Bay Area “postponed”, because I am only able to meet with one client.
I hear managers out there going good! Until they hear that:

1. It is one of the company’s largest clients
2. The Account Manager for the area just left the company
3. They are key to our strategic focus for one of our major products

So, to save a couple of hundred dollars, they scrubbed my meeting. And this is supposed to make me feel good about going out and getting a feel for what customers want, without having it go through the Marketing or Management filters.
I am feeling…abandoned is a good way to describe the way I feel today.
Time to figure out another pay to pay the bills.

Got word that my CA trip has been cancelled at the executive level. Sounds like time to dust off my resume.

Glad to hear that Jim from across the street was using his snowblower on his drive this morning…he said it was thanks for the stuff we have done to help and his family this winter. And it saved the ZenWife a ton of time going out this morning.

I am working from home today, getting ready for my trip to the Bay area tomorrow. It will be a severe shock to go from snow to 65F and Rain…NOT!

I am travelling to the Bay Area on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, and have some time on Thursday night, if any fellow bloggers want to grab a brew somewhere on the peninsula (I am staying in the San Mateo/Burlingame area).

I am now at Sea-Tac, on a very snappy 54Mbps wireless connection.
Had great meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. Had some very interesting feedback on the strategic product analysis I am performing. I will be able to do some work on the plane to hammer out my ideas.
Back to the grind tomorrow. And then out to the Bay Area next Wednesday for more client meetings.

Just found a corner-case issue in the GrabPERF system where the charts would return an error datapoint in a graph if the server did not send an HTTP return code. However, the data tables did not see the same issue, and the data was just ignored.
Turns out that I don’t factor in this empty return-code scenario in my code lookup table. Added an empty value, and voila!
Ugh!
